I have a long way to go in this game and am loving every minute. A great inclusion! Thanks developers! There is no strategy guide.but it would be near impossible I think for this game? Maybe the next inclusion?
There is now as said, in order to avoid not having a 'perfect' looking score map.a guide to where they are on all levels this time. I chose easy of the four choices (relax, easy, normal, hard).and could not do any harder challenge! By the time I use all the strategy I can muster and find the cache's (I don't want to look.I enjoy that challenge too) I am playing most levels twice, finding I can either have gold or find all cache's.so I go for the gold play.and go back again to look for the cache's as the gold stands. This game may seem short with only 40 + 6 levels, but I have been playing for two hours and only ten in. I am not too far in but there are a couple of new features so far including an alter of elements which needs earth, air, fire and water elements to be gathered (in the shape of jewels) from all parts of the screen before you can light it, and a pathfinders house to build so you can explore caves. There are all the familiar features and tasks as in previous games,, clear and build roads, gather food/wood, build resource buildings, repair bridges find treasure cache's, explore caves, make bombs and basically meet the level goals. Its got the lot.even a cache map this time! When I first saw the level count on this game I thought 'oh a bit short'.but only a few levels in, the hours have passed so very quickly! Bright, detailed and everything looks real. Visually the quality is excellent as usual. The music is nice, sound effects are mostly ok (the hissing dragons is a bit overdone).
So if not finding one of the hidden catches is driving you crazy, you can look. Keeps it interesting! And with the CE version there are maps of where the catches are for each level. When I've got several tasks queued up for the characters, I dont have to sit and wait, I can look for a catch. You can ignore them if you dont like finding hidden things, but I enjoy it. It all adds to the fun.įinding the catches is a bit of extra fun. They have also added a character that clears hidden areas that might have gems or something else. And every level has an altar for which you have to find gems. I havent gotten beyond that episode so I'm not sure what the others will look like but am hoping they have been as inventive. Like the way they did the roads in the second episode which is a swamp. There are the usual road clearing tasks (get wood, stone, food, etc) but also some nice variety.

And with this series I always want to play again later. Which is ok as it means I'll be able to give myself a goal of doing well in normal when I replay. Usually I play on normal, but I've switched down to easy. The devs do a good job with giving options on the difficulty, they have "relaxed", "easy", "normal" and "hard". But I'm finding this one is harder then some of the others.
They manage to be challenging while still keeping you interested in the game. Its difficult but its fun! I've always liked this series.
